Discussion starter 1 feb 12 2011 edited i have been trying to find this rattle grinding noise for a while thinking it was a heat shield or exhaust but i discovered something new about this noise yesterday.

Any ideas what that is.
The dealership told me i had a bad axle so obviously i can t fully trust their diagnosis since they were flat out wrong about the cause of the marbles in a can sound.

It was a very disconcerting sound to me early on and if i had not heard about it first here on these forums i would have been very worried myself.
It is not present all the time it comes and goes but it is an unsettling sound possibly of impending doom like the transmission is going to explode.
