I thought it was just family in the room next to mine.

10000 marbles rolling on a giant marble run part 1 duration. I have no marbles in my room. This causes a vibration in the pipes and creates the sound of marbles dropping. A sudden change in water flow mixed with soapy bubbles will create air pockets that burst and echo through the pipes.

The sounds are primarily coming from the pipes in most cases. However this usually produces a single sound. This change in pressure rattles the pipes and creates clanging sounds which will sound like marbles dropping as the sounds pass through concrete walls. It sounds like it s coming from under my bed which is sort of freaking me out.

Starting yesterday evening around 5 30pm i heard the sound of a marble dropping then rolling. But this makes pinpointing the origin even more challenging. Soon after a few cycles the force is too small. It stopped for yesterday and i m hearing it again today.

If the sound alters as it moves through a building it means actual marbles and pins can t be the root cause. Air can get trapped in the network of pipes as water passes through them and the force can cause the pipes to jostle and disperse the air pocket creating a sound like marbles rolling. The pipe bounces back up falls back into place the sound occurs and the cycle repeats a couple of times though there is less force each time. The sound it creates is similar to that of marbles dropping.
